These Terms of Use govern the use of the Synk mobile application, operated by Walson Argan René.
1. Service Description
Synk is a platform that connects recording studios with artists/music professionals. We facilitate bookings and payments between both parties.
Synk acts solely as an intermediary. Synk is not a party to the contract between a studio and a client and is not responsible for the studio’s performance. We are not responsible for:
- The quality of services provided by studios
- User behavior (studios or clients)
- Disputes between studios and clients
2. Account Creation
To use Synk, you must:
- Be at least 15 years old (use by minors aged 15–18 requires parental consent)
- Provide accurate and up‑to‑date information
- Protect your login credentials
Minors: By booking a session in the app, you certify that you obtained prior authorization from your legal guardian. Synk considers any booking made by a minor as validated by their parents or guardians.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account in case of:
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent or suspicious activity
- False or misleading information
3. Studio Obligations
If you list a studio on Synk, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information (address, equipment, pricing)
- Keep your availability up to date
- Honor confirmed bookings
- Keep your facilities in good and safe condition
- Comply with all applicable laws and regulations
4. Client Obligations
If you book a studio via Synk, you agree to:
- Arrive on time or notify in case of delay
- Respect equipment and studio facilities
- Pay the total amount via the application
- Follow studio rules
- Report immediately any issue or damage
5. Bookings and Payments
All bookings are processed via Stripe, our secure payment provider.
Booking process:
- Select a studio, date, and time
- The total price (including all fees) is displayed
- You confirm and pay by card
- You receive a booking confirmation
Payment is immediate and final.
6. Cancellation and Refund Policy
All bookings made on Synk are final and non‑refundable.
Once payment is confirmed, no refund will be granted in case of cancellation, modification or no‑show, regardless of the delay, except if the studio cancels.
⚠️ Before confirming your booking, please check:
- Date and time
- Selected studio
- Total price
Exceptions (refund possible only if):
- The studio cancels the booking (non‑refundable Stripe fees are borne by the studio)
- The studio is unavailable due to force majeure (fire, water damage, etc.)
- A technical error causes a double charge
Due to the nature of services reserved for a specific date or period, the right of withdrawal does not apply.
7. Service Fees
Synk applies fees on each booking to maintain and improve the platform:
- Stripe payment fees: According to the current schedule (included in the displayed price)
- Synk commission: A variable percentage of the booking amount (clearly displayed before payment)
All fees are included in the total price shown before confirmation. There are no hidden fees.
Studio payouts: Studios receive the booking amount (minus Stripe fees and Synk commission) according to the conditions defined in their contract with Synk.
8. Intellectual Property
User‑uploaded content:
- Photos, videos and descriptions you upload remain your property
- You grant us a license to use this content to display it in the app and marketing materials
- You guarantee that you have the right to publish this content
Synk application:
- Synk, its logo, design, and features are protected by intellectual property rights
- Any reproduction or reuse without authorization is prohibited
9. Liability
Synk cannot be held liable for:
- Studio cancellations or service issues
- Losses or damages resulting from use of the platform
- Technical failures beyond our control
10. Modification of the Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. If changes are significant, we will notify you by email or in‑app notification. Continued use of the app means you accept the updated Terms.
